Youth Soccer Assessment Tool (Y-SAT™) -
FREE* |
SoccerPlus FC offers a unique approach to evaluating the
needs of the youth soccer organization. Using a
proprietary assessment tool, the Y-SAT, a SoccerPlus FC
Consultant conducts an in-depth assessment of the
organizations needs by focusing on five areas: 1)
Coaching, 2) Curriculum, 3) Assessment and Talent
Identification, 4) Facilities and Equipment and 5)
Administration. Within five days of the initial
assessment, the Board of Directors are presented with an
extensive analysis of current provision and performance,
and recommendations for improvement.

|
Description of Y-SAT |
The Y-SAT is a proprietary tool developed by SoccerPlus
for the purpose of assessing a youth soccer program
in four
areas:
1. Coaching
2. Curriculum
3. Player Development including talent Identification
and Assessment
4. Administration including facilities and Equipment
The primary purpose of the assessment is to identify the
strengths and weaknesses that currently exist, and to
inform
recommendations to enhance the program.
|
|
Qualification Criteria |
To qualify for a free assessment, a town program permits
SPFC to: use the club logo, refer to the club as a SPFC
Y-SAT
client and publish the content of the Y-SAT (this will
not include any financial information or use of Club
Members names).
In addition, the club will provide a quotation that may
be used in promotional materials. The club will receive
a detailed YSAT
Assessment report valued at $1500 and a presentation to
the Board Members. The total effort required to complete
the report and presentation is between 10-15 hours.
|
|
Assessment Stages |
1. Club and SPFC sign Y-SAT Agreement
2. Club provides SPFC with club documents—a list of
documents will be furnished to the client
3. Survey/interview—depending on the geographical
location of the client, SPFC will either provide the
club with a survey
or conduct an in person interview. The club is requested
to identify 4-6 people capable of answering questions
pertaining to the four areas of the assessment.
4. Follow-up conference call may be required to clarify
some outstanding questions.
5. Y-SAT report is completed using the club
documentation and interview/survey responses.
6. SPFC Consultant presents the Y-SAT Assessment in
person or by web conference (depending on geographical
considerations).
7. SPFC provide club with an electronic copy of the
assessment and recommendations
8. Club decides whether to engage SPFC and/or partners
to implement proposal.
9. If appropriate, SPFC provides client with agreement
The entire process will take 10-30 days to complete.
