"Healthy young adults have enough respect for themselves - including the long-term health of their bodies - to make the right choices based on what's right rather than what they can get away with."

in Whose Game is it, Anyway?

It is a commonly held belief that sports promote excellence in many areas of life, but what are the lessons that translate? How can parents use the the experience of sport to better relate to their children? How do young athletes relate the media portrayals of professional athletes into their own developmental experience? This conversation will include a look at several of these lessons including leadership, time management, communication, self-awareness and more. This topic will be targeted for parents and their athletes across the spectrum of sports (not exclusively soccer).

SoccerPlus Education Center was founded by Tony DiCicco, former Head Coach of the US Women's National Team. The goal of SPEC is to develop not only better soccer players but also better citizens and contributors within the community. We will achieve this through educational programs, seminars, community outreach programs  and individual mentoring on and off the soccer field. And to promote essential life values such as team work, leadership, and healthy living to the young people in our community. For more information visit: soccerpluseducation.org
